Auditions for our performing arts programmes are held towards the end of the year. They usually involve workshops or groups classes as well as some individual demonstration.

New Zealand Diploma in Drama*

Get centre stage and in front of the camera, and get the tools to tell your own stories for stage and screen. Learn about the many roles that exist within the theatre, film, broadcast and digital screen industries. Training includes classes in acting techniques - improvisation, script analysis, movement and voice – as well as theatre production and collaborations with the Film School. The course is taught by leading tutors from the arts industry including Paula van Beek and professional actors Carmel McGlone, Ricky Dey and Tess Jamieson-Karaha.

New Zealand Diploma in Dance - Commercial Dance* 

Auditions for our 2021 intake will be held on the 5th & 6th of September.


Sing, act, dance. Be a ’triple threat’ as a versatile dynamic performer. Every year you’ll perform in a major production such as Jesus Christ Superstar, The Addams Family or Little Shop of Horrors. Work with in-demand musical directors and choreographers to hone your skills and get industry-ready.

On successful completion of year two of the Diploma in Performing Arts (Singing), students may apply to pathway into year three of the Bachelor of Creativity (Performing Arts) and create a body of work in their discipline.
