Get the opportunity to study and complete your Masters. Study 18 months full-time or up to five years part-time, the choice is yours. Develop practice at an advanced level while working with a diverse range of people. You’ll become an effective leader of inter-professional teams.

Programme outline

The Master of Professional Practice is a 180 credit, Level 9 qualification which can be completed by either a thesis, a praxis research project or a professional practice project.* You will:

  • Advance your skills in professional and inter-professional practice
  • Choose an interdisciplinary qualification
  • Focus on diversity, inter-professionalism, education and leadership
  • Apply your study and research to what you’re already doing
  • Study anywhere in New Zealand - most of your study will be online

Entry requirements

Domestic students

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a ‘B’ grade average at Level 7 and evidence of relevant practice in a related professional field

Special entry may be granted to an applicant who does not meet all entry criteria, provided the Head of School is satisfied the applicant is capable of undertaking the course of study.

*Domestic fee displayed is for 18-months, or 1.5 years of study (equivalent to 180 credits) but is subject to annual fee increases.

International students

IELTS 6.5 Academic, with no band below 6.0, or equivalent
