WTA Café / Baking

This programme is designed to give ākonga basic skills and experience in both a café environment and with baking goods. 


Students will develop basic baking skills and counter service skills which will be utilised during regular café service sessions where they will be serving hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages including espresso coffee and tea to customers. They will gain confidence in working in a team environment, learning the necessary communication skills that are required in the hospitality industry. This course provides a good insight into the different skill sets used in Café and Baking and will assist them determining possible future pathways.
