Troy comes from Wainuiomata High School. His brother had previously completed the course and had recommended Troy to join Trades Academy. He hasn’t looked back since.

Troy enjoyed the hands on learning approach to class. Practical and paperwork was split evenly throughout learning, making it easy to engage in class.
The environment was inclusive from the get go, being able to make friends has helped make his learning experience enjoyable. Troy encourages students to take up Trades Academy, to work hard and reap the rewards.
