Hear from Brianna and Riripeti as they speak about their learning journey in the Salon Environment programme.
Trades Academy students Brianna and Riri came from different schools, and enjoyed their time in the Salon Environment programme. Brianna (right in header image) found out about Trades Academy through her pathways teacher at Tawa College. Riri (left in header image) came from Newlands College, and found out about Trades Academy through the Careers Advisor.
Brianna liked how it gave her insight into the industry before committing to study. Riri relished the opportunity to get a head start at Trades Academy while still being in school. The learning environment suited both students.
“ I found it really cool how your tutors welcomed you with open arms, took you in and taught you. It was a really good experience”, Brianna.
“I thought joining late was going to be difficult, but everyone made me feel welcome and comfortable”, Riri.
