Emma found out about Wellington Trades Academy through the gateway programme at Naenae College. As someone who wasn’t big on school, she was interested to see if the Animal Care course at Trades Academy was for her.
Emma enjoyed the learning structure, she found classroom interactions more engaging. Having the opportunity to learn about animals has been a huge benefit for her.
“The whole environment is different, the tutors are supportive and you meet lots of new people, it’s really fun!”
If hands on learning is your style, Emma recommends giving Trades Academy a go. She felt welcome and supported on her first day at Trades Academy. Emma found the tutors very supportive, they introduced the learnings at the students pace and provided help where ever they could.
