Graduation ceremonies postponed

Published on

With the COVID-19 situation continuing to change quickly, we are postponing our March and April graduation ceremonies including the ceremonies that were scheduled for Thursday 19 March.

Graduation is an important milestone and we’re committed to holding the ceremonies at a later date. We’ll advise you of a new date when we know more.

Returning your gowns

Please return your gown to the main reception at Whitireia in Porirua by Friday, 3 April 2020 between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. If you cannot do this please email or  to arrange an alternative location.

Refunds of Regalia

If you have collected your regalia please return your regalia and we will process a refund.

If you have NOT collected your regalia your fee will be refunded to you within the next week.

Graduating in Absentia

All students who were to attend the ceremonies in March and April will be posted their certificates within the next two weeks.

Our Classes

Our classes continue to run as usual. We’re closely monitoring the situation and will follow all Ministry of Health advice. We’re asking our staff and students to stay home if they’re unwell and, if they have returned from overseas, to follow the self-isolation procedures recommended by the Ministry. You can read more about what we’re doing on either the Whitireia or WelTec websites.
