Steps to Apply

You may apply directly to Whitireia or WelTec through the process below or through one of our registered recruitment agents.

Before you apply to Whitireia or WelTec, please read the English language requirements for international students.

Send the completed application form to international.admissions@weltec.ac.nz  or international.admissions@whitireia.ac.nz along with: 

  • A copy of your most recent school report or highest qualifications
  • A copy of your passport observation page
  • Any documentation confirming you have met the English language requirements if available
  • Your CV & employment certificate if applicable 

1. International application form*

Email the completed form with the required documents to international.admissionsl@weltec.ac.nz or international.admissionsl@whitireia.ac.nz or deliver with attached documentation to the contact details provided.

2. Application assessment

Once we receive your application, we will assess whether you meet the English language and academic entry requirements for your chosen programme.

3. Offer of Place

If your application is approved, we will send you an Offer of Place. This will include payment details, airport arrival and accommodation information.

If you decide not to study at Whitireia or WelTec, please let us know.

4. Fee payment

Fee payment details are included in your Offer of Place. Ensure you have read and understood the International Student Withdrawal and Refund Policy before you make payment.

5. Planning for arrival

Plan to arrive at Whitireia or WelTec in time to attend International Student Orientation. Once you have booked your flights, organise your airport pick up and accommodation at least 10 working days before you arrive. Late bookings will not be accepted.

6. Student visa

Once we receive your fee payment, we will issue you with a fee receipt to support your student visa application. See Immigration New Zealand for visa requirements and processes.

Join other international students for the Orientation programme, finalise your enrolment, and begin your studies!
