Taikura Quality Management System

Taikura is the Quality Management System encompassing the policies and procedures for Wellington Institute of Technology Ltd (WelTec) and Whitireia Community Polytechnic Ltd.

Taikura means the heart of the tree – this being symbolic of a strong heart, enabling a tall, strong tree with good fruit; strong policies leading to successful students.

There are four over-arching policies which cover all aspects of Institutional life, as follows:

  • T3 Evaluation and Improvement
  • T4 Quality Management

Published Taikura documents are in effect until they are reviewed and replaced. Taikura documents that are replaced by those created and approved by the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology will be noted on this site.
